Brian Robinson returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since he was shot twice during an armed robbery attempt less than three weeks ago.

Based on footage he shared on Instagram via Peter Haley of NBC Sports,

Running back Washington commanders are making remarkable progress.

Robinson looked playful as he navigated the agility drill.

That's a wonderful change considering Robinson was shot in the knee and hip on August 28. According to Nikki Jhabwala of The Washington Post,

Commanders head coach Ron Rivera praised the rookie's recovery.

"It's nice to see him out there," Rivera said. “He is progressing very well.

Every week he gets to see doctors and trainers,

And he thought now was a good time to see how he does outside."

Washington placed Robinson on the non-football injury list,

Disqualified him for at least the first four matches.

However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier this week that the former Alabama star has a "realistic chance" of playing in Week 5.

It's great to see Robinson continue to do well and work towards making his NFL debut at the end of this season.
