Texas fans got an exciting update on Saturday night starting quarterback Quinn Ivers.

Ahead of the Longhorns Week 3 matchup against UTSA this evening,

Ivers was seen participating in some light throwing drills without a pad.

Evers sprained his left non-throwing shoulder during a loss to Alabama last week.

He was originally supposed to miss the next 4-6 weeks, but now it appears he may be well ahead of schedule.

Texas fans took to Twitter to react to this encouraging video.

"The god of football is giving me a ray of hope, just to find something new,

Sick way to take it all away from me again," wrote one fan.

"All the vibes are back from last week," said another.

"Let's go crazy!! Guys a beast," said another.

"How is it possible?" The other asked.

Five Star Transfer from Ivers, Ohio State,

1 was looking great before getting injured during the first quarter of last week's close encounter with the Crimson Tide.

The backup QB Hudson card moved to the starting position after injury last week,

And will stay there until Evers is ready to go.

Stay tuned for updates on Ewers' recovery process as Longhorn's season progresses.
