The availability of star cornerback Jalen Ramsey ahead of training camp has led to brewing conditions at the Los Angeles Rams.

But today head coach Sean McVay clarified the position.

According to ESPN's Sarah Barshop,

McVay said the Rams would not place Ramsey on the physically disabled performance (PUP) list.

McVay explained that doctors cleared Ramsey to participate in an "over the neck" exercise.

Reportedly, Ramsey would not have been able to participate in those exercises if he had been on the PUP list.

Ram could still remove Ramsey from the PUP list whenever he wanted.

There is no guarantee that he will be a full participant in all exercises or even in precision.

Jalen Ramsey is coming from five straight Pro Bowls and back-to-back first-team All-Pro selections.

So it stands to reason that Rams are inclined to be more modest in how they manage their bodies before a given season.

He is one of the NFL's biggest difference-makers in cornerbacks.
