It appears that Joe Burrow will be ready to leave for the start of the 2022 season.

Fans were initially concerned after the former No. 1 overall pick had surgery to remove his appendix late last month,

But he is clearly making some significant progress in his recovery process.

Before his Bengals team takes on the Arizona Cardinals in a preseason matchup later this evening,

Buro winds up running the sprint with the rest of the inactive players.

Even though Buro was healthy enough to play,

Head coach Zack Taylor says established starters (ie Burrows, Joe Mixon, Ja'Mar Chase) will not take the field in preseason.

Instead, Taylor wants his quarterback to get as many practice reps as possible before Year 3.

Every day has been very encouraging for him,

Taylor told All Bengals ahead of practice on Wednesday.

"I'm not going to predict.

He is not playing in the game on Friday.

We will go day to day for him. I'm not going to make any further predictions."

Tonight's President's Opener will begin at 7:30 PM at Paul Brown Stadium. ET.
