Patriots Put Notable Running Back On Injured Reserve

On Sunday, running behind Ty Montgomery had the only touchdown in the opening loss of the season to the New England Patriots.

On Tuesday, the Patriots placed Montgomery on injured reserve.

The veteran will not be able to play at least the next four matches.

Montgomery actually injured his ankle on August 26, but he was able to play 21 offensive snaps.

On the afternoon, Montgomery did twice for minus-2 yards and caught three passes for 15 yards and a score.

Montgomery is running on IR for at least the next few weeks,
