The NFL's annual top 100 players list has started to trickle in and, as always, is causing controversy.

But some people are practically up in arms at Russell Wilson's position on the list.

The Denver Broncos quarterback came in at number 61 on the list.

This was his lowest ranking on the list since the beginning of his NFL career.

There were good reasons for Wilson to slip down from last year's No. 12 ranking.

Injuries, the lowest QBR of his career and the first losing season of his career could all be reasons voters felt he deserved to leave.

For Seattle Seahawks fans, the ranking is for them a confirmation of the team's decision to trade Wilson to the Denver Broncos.

But for most other NFL fans — including Fox's Colin Cowherd — the rankings were an absolute outrage:

Even with production declining in 2021, Russell Wilson still made the Pro Bowl and ranked among the best in the league.

He had 25 touchdown passes with only six interceptions, while he had a 64.8-percent pass.

Nevertheless, the Seattle Seahawks decided to hit the reset button and traded him to the Denver Broncos for a mint.

Most Likely He'll End His Twilight Years In Denver

And will likely get a lucrative contract extension soon.
