Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield made waves this week after rumors that he had said some harsh words to his former team,

Cleveland Brown. There are few thoughts on those alleged words from one of his former teammates.

NFL reporter Cynthia Frelund reports Mayfield vowed to "f—k them up" in Week 1

A statement that Mayfield declined to make.

But Garrett can't believe that Mayfield wouldn't — or wouldn't — say that.

"We know he has that type of demeanor and that attitude, and for better or worse, it works for him...

It does the same for us. We'll take it and we'll use it," Garrett told the media today.

NFL fans love that Garrett is clapping back at his former teammate.

Some think it is a shame that the game will not be broadcast nationally.

Baker Mayfield was the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback from 2018 to 2021.

During which he led the team to its first playoff appearance in nearly 20 years and its first playoff victory in nearly 30 years.

But Mayfield was not able to build on his success and the team decided to make a blockbuster move for Deshan Watson during the 2022 off-season.

A few months later, he traded Mayfield.

At the ensuing training camp, Mayfield won the starting job from Baker Mayfield and would now start against his former team.

Will Baker will lead the Mayfield Panthers to a revenge win over the Browns

Or will the Browns prove they don't need him?
