There are a lot of quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL season with huge expectations.

But for Hall of Fame wide receiver and NFL analyst Michael Irwin, there is one person he feels is under the most pressure this year.

Appearing on ESPN's First Take today, Irvine announced that Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is under the most pressure.

He cited former head coach John Gruden's decision to give him the chance to sign Tom Brady in 2020 to keep Carr.

Carr led the Raiders to the playoffs in 2021, but was quickly eliminated by the Cincinnati Bengals.

He has yet to win a playoff game in his eight NFL seasons, and Irvine has decided the excuses are over.

"There's no more excuse for you," Irwin declared.

"You have to show up now."

In his first four NFL seasons, Derek Carr was consistently ranked the best quarterback in the league.

He made three straight Pro Bowls between 2015 and 2017 and finished third in MVP voting in 2016.

But his regular season numbers have rarely translated into victories.

He has just two winning seasons and is 57-70 as a starter.

Given the arms race that the race for the AFC West division has turned into a fight with three other Pro Bowl quarterbacks,

Carr needs the best season of his career to get the Raiders back into the playoffs

Let alone with the postseason game.
