Former Notre Dame superstar Manty Teo will be back on campus on Saturday for his alma mater's Week 3 matchup against the Cal Golden Bears.

He will walk with the fighting Irish football team from the Basilica to Notre Dame Stadium,

Per Fighting Irish Insider Pete Sampson.

The football world took to Twitter to react to the news.

"It makes me want to go to the game now!" One fan wrote.

"King we didn't know we should.

Notre Dame has survived the season," said another.

"It will bring the juice.

Manty is like Elvis when he's on campus.

I can't wait to see the atmosphere," said another.

Te'o arrived in South Bend in 2009 as the number 1 linebacker recruit in the country.

He played in Notre Dame uniform for four seasons,

In 2012 for making 437 career tackles and finishing as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

The rise and fall of Te'o's highly publicized soccer career were listed in a recent documentary series titled Untold:

Girlfriend who didn't exist.

This series has gone viral in the sports world.

Inspiring sympathy and respect for the former college football star.

This year's Notre Dame team has had a poor start.

With a massive upset defeat to Marshall this past weekend,

The Fighting Irish are now 0–2 under first year head coach Marcus Freeman.

Perhaps Te'o could serve as a spark plug to turn the team's 2022 season around.
