Former Buckeyes star Justin Fields is at home for the matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame on Saturday.
Ohio State insider Dan Hope shared a photo of the now-Chicago Bears quarterback talking to longtime athletic director Gene Smith.
After relocating from Georgia in 2019, Fields went on to have an outstanding two-year career with the Buckeyes.
After 3,273-yard, 41-touchdown season in 2019, Star QB covered 2,100 yards
and 22 touchdowns in a COVID-19-shortened 2020 campaign.
After throwing 385 yards and six touchdowns at the Sugar Bowl,
Fields was selected by the Bears as the 11th pick in the 2021 draft.
Despite playing only two seasons in Columbus,
Fields is ranked tenth on the Buckeyes' passing yard list (5,373) and second on the passing touchdown list (63).
Tonight's much-awaited, top-five game begins at 7:30 PM. ET at Ohio Stadium.
