Gerrit Cole was fired heavily after Blue Jays pitcher Alec Manoah drilled Yankees slugger Aaron Judge into the upper arm with a foul sinker.

The judge thought Manoah's HBP was intentional, but things didn't proceed beyond some chatter from both sides.

However, the Yankees ace can be seen walking in desperation along the New York dugout.

On Sunday, Manoah commented on Cole's response.

Telling The Athletic's Kaitlyn McGrath: "I'm not trying to do that and I think [the judge] understood it.

I think if Gerritt wants to do something, he can outrun the Audi sign next time.

Temperatures are heating up on the New York side due to their 4-14 slide in August.

But in the end, the Yankees were able to have the last laugh, securing a much-needed 4-2 victory at Sunday's matinee.
