Ken Griffey Jr. Reveals Special Phone Call To LeBron James

LeBron James and Hall of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. are fans of each other's work.

James has long paid respects to the baseball legend by weaving influences from his iconic Air Griffi Max sneakers into his own signature Nike line,

and looks to "The Kid" to fulfill his dream of playing with his father in MLB;

Something that James wants to do with his sons one day in the NBA.

During a recent appearance on "The Pivot" podcast, Griffey revealed his conversation with LeBron.

Saying that he called the Lakers superstar to explain that when he and Bronie play their first game,

"Me and my dad will be there."

Junior played with his father Ken Griffey Sr. for the Seattle Mariners from 1990–91.
