The Los Angeles Chargers would have to end Week 1 win without Keenan Allen.

The wide receiver had hit all four of his goals for 66 yards before being ruled out of Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with a hamstring injury.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chargers have dropped Allen for the rest of the game.

As is often the case, football fans let go of the past, feeling any sympathy for another person rather than complaining about their bets and fantasy football teams.

Others noted that the schedule could reduce Allen's chances of returning in week 1.

The Chargers have a short week ahead of facing the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football.

Although he struggled to stay healthy early in his career,

Allen has played all but three of the last five seasons.

During that stretch, he has cemented himself as one of the NFL's major wideouts.

Allen has taken at least 100 catches in four of those five years, settling for 97 in outliers.

In the fourth quarter, the Chargers have a 24-13 lead over the Raiders.

Justin Herbert has accumulated 275 passing yards and three touchdowns, despite what Mike Williams held in a six-yard reception.

If Allen can't play on Thursday, the Chargers will need a big showing from Williams in another tough AFC West matchup.

Allen found last field against Kansas City in every game of the previous season.
