Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has reportedly set a one-week deadline for him and the team to negotiate a long-term deal.

It's not quite clear how these talks are going,

But only 22 days until the start of the season: still no extension.

Coach John Harbaugh was asked about those talks at Saturday's press conference and is "very confident" Lamar's deal will be done "when it's done".

Lamar is doing a great job. He is practicing every day. The business part of it is the business part of it.

I am sure it will happen when it is done. You really can't do it fast. I don't think either side wants to rush anything.

Both sides want to be happy when it's all said and done, and maybe both sides are sad when it's all said and done,

To some extent, isn't it? This is how it works. He's doing a great job.

He is practicing well. He is a great leader. On edge, he's right in the game. So, everything, thumbs up.

Jackson is about to make $23 million at his fifth-year option.

If everything goes according to plan, he will receive a significant salary when the time comes.
