San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittel hasn't practiced this week due to a groin injury.

And yet, he is not ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

Kittel spoke to reporters in the 49ers locker room on Friday.

He revealed that he is feeling "much better" than he was earlier in the week.

Kittel also said he would "do everything he can" to play against the Bears this weekend.

As of now, Little is listed as a suspect for Week 1.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed Kittel's injury on KNBR radio this Friday morning.

He could not give much clarity on the situation.

Don't know yet,” Shanahan said via 49ers webzone.

"I'm really hoping it all turns out well. I'm trying to think positively on this.

He didn't end up leaving yesterday. , , But they will give him a tough fight [today].

They'll do it all morning, and hopefully he'll be able to get out there and do some red zone work today. ,

Of course, the 49ers would love to have Kittel at their disposal for Sunday's game.

The All-Pro Tight End is one of the best playmakers in the league.

At the end of the day though, the 49ers need to be wary of Kittle.

The last thing they want is for his groin injury to reoccur.
