Abdullah Anderson impressed enough to earn the Atlanta Falcons a roster spot on Sunday.
On Monday, the team signed defensive linemen to a 53-man active roster.
He played in a Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams as a standard practice squad upgrade.
After securing 11 snaps on defense and five on special teams, Anderson made two tackles, one for the loss.
He now has eight career tackles in 11 games in four years, with multiple teams.
As an unfinished signer outside Bucknell, Anderson earned his only sack in 2019 with the Chicago Bears.
He played 10 snaps in a game for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020
And three games for the Green Bay Packers last year.
The Pittsburgh Steelers cut him before the start of the 2021 season,
And he was briefly on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad last season.
While the Falcons have started 0-2, they have given tough competition to the Rams and New Orleans Saints.
Atlanta jointly got four points
And almost reversed history by erasing a 28-3 deficit against Los Angeles on Sunday.
Anderson could see more reps when Atlanta moves to Seattle to face the Seahawks in Week 3.
