Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered a torn ACL during Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season.

That being said, the 26-year-old wideout has made a very quick recovery.

Godwin was listed as active for the start of the Buccaneers training camp on Tuesday.

It does not mean that he is 100% healthy,

But it does indicate that he should be able to participate in some portion of the team's pre-season workouts.

There is some hope that Godwin might be ready for week 1,

But the Books are reportedly in "no hurry" to get him back on the field.

"I've been told there's no rush and that the Books are taking their time with him.

Signing Julio Jones gives him the ability to do that," reports ESPN NFL insider Jenna Line.

This afternoon the blockbuster of Julio Jones gives the signing

Bucs some serious flexibility in the wide receiver position.

If Godwin is not ready by the start of the 2022 season,

The team can now rely on a former All-Pro superstar instead of a reserve option.

Before his injury last season, Godwin was on pace to surpass his previous career-high achieving yards (1,333),

which he set during his Pro-Bowl season in 2019.
