Over the weekend, UFC president Dana White said the Las Vegas Raiders had struck a deal to land Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.
On Tuesday afternoon, reporters asked current Raiders quarterback Derek Carr if he was immune to Tom Brady talk at this point.
"So far, I hope so," Carr said with a laugh. "I mean, that's it."
"It doesn't really matter," Carr said.
"At the end of the day, everything I say will just get out there, so I'm just going to completely remove myself and just keep trying to play football.
It was good to answer football questions.
And hopefully, there will be no more drama in town. That's what I hope."
It didn't take long for the football world to react to Carr's remarks.
"This is a perfect thumbnail picture for this story," said Mike Golick Jr., noting Carr's photo.
"They have Davante Adams so I'm not sure life could be better for the QB.
I wouldn't even care about Brady," said another fan.
"People doubt him a lot and he is such a good QB... I hope he silences everyone this year...
Guess that's not a TB12, but damn in the past...
Derek got better throwing 40 TDs this year," said a third fan.
Carr and the Raiders will have their hands full at the crowded AFC West this year. Can they make it to the playoffs?
