David Pollack Reacts To Viral Arch Manning Recruitment Story

The Athletic this week made a scathing report about the discovery of Texas five-star quarterback Arch Manning.
According to public records obtained by The Athletic, Longhorn spent $280,000 over the weekend of June 17.
Manning and eight other recruits were in town to watch the event.
ESPN's David Pollack was asked about this report on Just In.
He applauds Texas for spending so much money on recruiting.
"Looks like the money is well spent, Max.
what is the purpose? The aim is to get better players," said Pollack.
Pollack pointed out that Manning has landed several recruits in Texas since announcing his commitment.
"Look how many four-and-five-stars have chosen Texas now because you have Manning at the door," Pollack said.
"I think it's smart to spend the money by Texas.

During this weekend in June, Texas offers recruits at the Four Seasons Austin a full spread in their rooms,
A photoshoot and a trip to Top Golf at DKR Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas currently owns the No. 2 recruiting class in the 2023 cycle, per 247Sports Ranking.
