Justin Herbert is still practicing, even though he is struggling with rib cartilage.

The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback was considered a "day-to-day" by head coach Brandon Staley after the Chargers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

Herbert was limited in practice on Wednesday because he only took part in individual practice,

Per ProFootballTalk.

That means backup Chase Daniel took first-team reps as the Chargers prepare for Sunday's Jacksonville Jaguars.

They will be hoping that Herbert will be good to go, based on how well he has been so far.

In just two games, Herbert has thrown 613 yards and six touchdowns, completing 72% of his passes.

Staley could have decided to have Herbert sit for the game to give him an extra week's rest,

But it could be risky as the Chargers could be further behind in the AFC West race.

Herbert still has two days of practice before he is injured for the game.

If he can get "perfect" on the practice report, he'll be good to go for the competition.
