Philadelphia Phillies fans have been speculating about Bryce Harper's three-word message after surgery this week.
"I'll be back," he said.
Oh boy Does this mean that Harper will return earlier than expected and play for Phyllis again this season? this is complex.
I don't want to give someone a timetable because I don't know,
Harper said, "If I had known a specific date that I would be back, I would have let you know.
I don't think it's fair to anyone. I'll be back when I'm ready to go."
He said, "I don't want to expect or think anything.
I just want to go day by day and come back whenever I can feel healthy,
Whenever he helps this team win. Granted, if we're out of it,
I'll come back and play, no matter what, just so I know I can go out there and play the game.
I don't want it to be my last day of play this year. whatever be the result,
I'm going to come back and I'll play."
Harper has sustained one of the most unfortunate injuries in baseball in some time.
The Phillies star was hit by a fast 97-mph ball from Padres ace Blake Snell.
Because of this, his thumb got fractured.
It would be quite a change if he can return this season - especially if the Phillies are in the hunt for the playoffs.
