Alabama Takes Significant Step In Bryant-Denny Stadium Concession Sales

When the 2022 college football season kicks off, Alabama fans may be in for a very special treat.

According to a new report, fans of Crimson Tide may finally be able to buy alcohol at this fall's games.

Nick Kelly of Tuscaloosa News reported that Levi's Premium Foodservice L.P.,

The concessionaire of the stadium has applied for a liquor license.

This is an important step in the right direction for fans who want to drink -

Or two - while watching the tide.

In June, Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne said the school would reconsider the sale of alcohol.

"We appreciate our partnership, especially with the city,

And the efforts of all public safety personnel and first responders working in and around our locations," Byrne said.

“With the recently expanded collaboration between the University of Alabama and the City of Tuscaloosa, we will continue our due diligence

And revisit the wine sales opportunity at select athletics events with our university leadership. ,

A hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday, August 16 to determine whether to take the next step with the application.
