After missing the first two games of the 2022 regular season, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittel is officially back.

Kytel, who has been battling a groin injury for the past few weeks, was not listed in the 49ers' injury report this Friday.

That means he is set to play against the Denver Broncos this Sunday.

The All-Pro tight end's return to the gridiron should give a boost to San Francisco's offense.

Earlier this week, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan praised Kittle's energy and passion for the game.

"George, he has two good drills, so that's a great thing. He kind of lifts us up.

He elevates everyone here because he is a character. But it is real; This is real.

And he lifts everyone's spirits with the way he plays," Shanahan said of Kittel via Niners Nation.

"You can tell he loves it from here, and you need people who fit you in, bring energy.

I think it's been true this week."

During the 2021 season, Kittle had 71 receptions for 910 yards and six touchdowns.

He would try to pick up when Kittel left during the 49ers class against the Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
