The Dallas Cowboys raced to an 18-0 lead at halftime tonight, but that doesn’t mean it was a flawless first 30 minutes.
If kicker Brett Maher can convert his extra points, Dallas can go through with 21 points. After attempting in the first half, Maher missed all three points, making it four straight through Week 18.
Quarterback Dak Prescott, who threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, could not hold back from expressing his frustration after Maher’s third fumble.
Prescott was Caught by ESPN cameras Not yelling at anyone in particular for “f—–g go for two”.
As it turned out, the Cowboys scored on their first possession of the third quarter and didn’t go for two. Maher was brought back for another PAT attempt.
He missed. Maher missed four for tonight and five going back to the regular season finale.
Assuming the Cowboys win tonight, Maher will almost certainly be replaced before Sunday’s Divisional Round game.
